Research Facility Best Practices Meeting

The Research Facilities Shared Practices Program includes an annual in-person meeting hosted by a participating organization.  This meeting provides an in-person, small group format for in-depth discussion with your colleagues. You can hear firsthand what others are doing to reduce costs and/or improve performance, discuss lessons learned, and see other facilities and operations.

  • Updates from all attendees,
  • Review of benchmarking metrics,
  • General town hall discussions, and
  • Facility tour(s) by the host organization.

Some past meetings were hosted by:

  • National Renewable Energy Laboratory in 2019
  • Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 2018
  • Battelle in 2017
  • Fred Hutch in 2016

One meeting registration is included for all organizations participating in the Shared Practice program.  There is a $300 fee to offset the meeting cost for additional attendees.  Use the form below to register for the meeting

If your organization is not a Shared Practice program participant, you will need to be approved (to see if you are eligible and there is space available) and pay the $650 registration fee.  Use the form below to submit an application to attend the meeting.
