Cultural Facility Group Activities

This Month’s Shared Practice Meeting

Resiliency Planning: Vulnerability Assessments
Shared Practice Meeting (One-hour Zoom call)
February 24, 2026:12:00 pm EDT / 8:00 am PDT / 4:00 pm CET

Resiliency planning is no longer just an emergency binder on a shelf. It’s becoming a practical, board-visible way to decide which facility vulnerabilities to fix first, and how to balance capital projects with operational controls. In this 45-minute discussion, museum and cultural-facility leaders will compare approaches to vulnerability assessments: how organizations identify priority hazards, map exposures (collections, visitors, critical systems), and translate findings into a short, defensible roadmap.

Please take a few minutes to share your thoughts on our shared practice survey on this topic as a starting point for the discussion.

Take the Shared Practice Survey and register for this month’s meeting

Benchmarking Program Updates

Final reports for the 2025 Cultural Facilities Benchmarking Program have been published – but it is not too late to make changes since we have some late data due to US government shutdown. Contact us if you have any trouble with access.

Enhancements for the 2026 program are being planned and your input is welcome at any of the Steering Committee meetings on the schedule or by email. One key aspect is the degree of AI integration that will be provided (based on the value it provides and alignment with participant’s policies).  Contact us if you would like learn more about the 2026 program.
