Cultural Facility Shared Practice Meeting
- June 23, 2026
- 12:00 pm Eastern / 9:00 am Pacific
Artificial intelligence is rapidly moving from experimentation into everyday facility operations. Cultural institutions are beginning to use AI tools for energy optimization, maintenance analysis, environmental monitoring, reporting, space utilization, and administrative support. At the same time, others are doing very little with the technology. Many facility leaders remain uncertain about what is truly practical, affordable, and operationally mature versus what is still largely hype, particularly for organizations with limited budgets or limited technical staffing.
This month’s meeting was a discussion of AI applications that are realistically usable today by museum and cultural facility teams. Where can you get value from AI if you are just starting? What are others already doing? What are lessons learned from other cultural facility managers?
