Utility Facility Shared Practice Meeting

Many utility organizations still rely on legacy POTS lines to support critical building systems such as fire alarms, elevators, security dialers, and legacy operational equipment. At the same time, telecom providers are actively retiring copper infrastructure, costs are escalating, and reliability is becoming less predictable. Common challenges include compliance/reliability uncertainty, cellular/IP alternatives, and coordination across facilities, IT, and operations.
This month, National Grid will share a case study on how they are approaching the transition away from POTS lines, followed by a general group discussion of how others are dealing with this issue.
Join us to share your perspectives and hear how other utilities are addressing these challenges. All utility staff and business partners are welcome to participate.
Please take the short shared practice survey on this topic – it will only take a few minutes and your input is greatly appreciated. Upon completion you will go to the meeting registration form (and all participants get the survey results whether they can attend the meeting or not).
