Regional Networking Meetings for Utility Facility Managers
EUG (Eastern Utility Group) and WUG (Western Utility Group) meetings provide opportunities you to meet face-to-face with your peers to discuss current issues, share best practices, and see other utility facilities. These are great networking and informal mentoring opportunities for utility FMs because they are just 1-1/2 day with a smaller group that allows a lot of interaction.
The Mississippi River is the general boundary between the Eastern Utilities Group (EUG) and Western Utilities Group (WUG) to make travel easier, but participants can attend any meetings they wish. The meetings are included for organizations participating in the utility benchmarking. Staff from other utilities are welcome but there is a registration fee.
EUG and WUG meetings are typically held in the winter and summer to complement the IFMA Utility Council’s general meetings, which are held in the spring and fall. They are typically a full day Thursday and half-day Friday to let participants get home if they are not staying for the weekend.
