Are Desk Phones Still Relevant

Eversource is evaluating the importance of providing desk phones (VoIP) for all office employees. With meeting applications such as Zoom, Teams, etc. most calls are being made through these applications and/or cell phones. Desk phone usage is down 80% +/-. Aside from Control Rooms and Call Centers, Eversource is considering eliminating, or reducing, the number of desk phones.
