In-Person Networking Discussions
Salt River Project hosted the winter 2024 Western Utility Group meeting in Phoenix so facility leaders from western utilities could network with their peers and have small group discussions on current issues. Topics included:
- A demonstration of the “matterport” application used to allow virtual site tours of remote locations,
- Process to approve spending and standardization,
- CRE role in governance for property acquisitions,
- New material storage facility to meet reliability needs in the face of supply chain issues.
- Cleaning robots for cost savings,
- Drinks and cafe amenities to boost moral and return to office.
- HQ consolidation and hybrid workplaces,
- EV support,
- New training center case study
- Capital project close-out processes,
- “Action “Challenged” facility renovation project/case study,
- and more.
SRP also provided tours of their HQ, flex space, self-service kiosks, and demonstration of their cleaning robots.
