Bonneville Power Authority hosted the WUG meeting so facility leaders from several western utilities could share what is going on and tour several facilities.

Presentations includes review of the Technical Services Building Construction project, the “lean” approach being applied to utility facilities, KPIs and metrics being used, and utility facility trends (from benchmarking).

Tours includes the NW Transmission Control Center, the new Technical Services Building, the Ross Service Center, and the Bonneville Dam (by the National Park Service on behalf of the US ACOE).

Discussion topics covered the full range of issues being faced by facility managers in the utility industry.

In spite of the atmospheric river going on, PG&E also provided a tour of their gas control and training facilities.
